2023 ORLANDO TRIP for Hoover High School Band Students.

Dates will be March 8 – 14, 2023.  The estimated cost will be around $1600.  The price includes transportation, meal passes at the park, lodging, and 4 days of park passes. Hoover students are planning on working with a Walt Disney composer and will perform Disney songs and have the music recorded by the end of the trip.  Parents are encouraged to come to the park but will need to find their own travel and lodging accommodations.

There will be another butter braids fund raiser for middle school and high school band students.  The fundraiser will last from February 8th – 22nd.  Order sheets will be sent out.  If Meredith and Hoover sell over $250 they will get $6 per order.

At the end of January the boosters had $6161 in their checking account.  This includes $2700 that was received for the mattress fundraiser this fall.  There is currently $10,963 in savings.  $150 was spent for materials to make buttons for Jazziest.

The choir helped in last fall’s mattress fund raiser.  Instead of giving them a portion of our proceeds Mr. Rowley is proposing that we offer the band tuxedos since the band is moving to dressing in all black for performances.  There will be an online vote for this uniform exchange at a later date.

Next meeting will be Monday March 7th at 6pm.
